Bengaluru FC has announced the signing of experienced Indian defender Rahul Bheke on a two-year deal. This marks Bheke’s return to the Blues after a previous stint from 2017 to 2021, during which he was part of the team that won the ISL and the Super Cup. He was instrumental in their success, even scoring the match-winning goal in the 2018-19 ISL final.
Bheke then moved on to Mumbai City FC in 2021, where he continued his winning ways, contributing to their ISL Shield and ISL Cup triumphs. He also represented Mumbai City in the AFC Champions League in 2022.
The 33-year-old defender has also been a regular feature for the Indian national team, making 29 appearances. He was recently part of the squad that played in the FIFA World Cup second round qualifiers.
