Damian Perry, Managing Director for Asia-Pacific, highlighted the importance of supporting industry partners, agents, and consumers for both the Hurtigruten Original Coastal Express and Premium Signature Voyages, as well as HX expedition cruises. Perry also emphasized the strategic move of bringing PR and communications in-house to strengthen relationships with travel and news media in the region.
Kirsty Fruin joins the APAC commercial team as Regional Sales Manager (QLD, WA, SA) in Brisbane. With extensive experience in the cruise and travel industries, including roles at Fred Olsen Travel in the UK, Kirsty brings a wealth of knowledge to her new position.
Christina Koullas takes on the role of PR & Communications Manager – APAC at Hurtigruten Group’s Melbourne office. Her over 20 years of experience in travel PR, encompassing work with Spirit of Tasmania and European DMCs, along with her own PR agency consulting for Hurtigruten, make her a valuable asset to the team. Christina was drawn to Hurtigruten due to its commitment to innovation and responsible travel.
The Customer Service Centre in Melbourne expands with the addition of Briohny Black and Laura Lund as CSC Consultants. Laura’s over a decade of experience in retail management, accounts, and customer resolution, combined with Briohny’s 18 years in the travel industry, including work at APT and Captain’s Choice specializing in sales and tour consulting, provides a solid foundation for their contributions.
Jemma Gormack from New Zealand and Emily Coltman from the UK join the Melbourne head office as new Marketing Executives. Both bring strong digital and marketing backgrounds from various industries, ready to contribute to the team’s success.
