Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Actor Gurucharan Singh Breaks Silence on Disappearance

Gurucharan Singh, the actor known for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, has finally broken his silence about his disappearance in April. In an interview with Bombay Times, Singh vehemently denied that his absence was a publicity stunt. He explained that he had embarked on a spiritual journey during a difficult period in his life. He emphasized that he had no intention of returning at that time, but eventually felt guided back home by a divine sign.

Singh addressed the rumors surrounding his disappearance, stating that if his intention was to gain attention, he could have easily done so by granting interviews or using social media to discuss his pending dues from the show. He clarified that he only decided to speak now to address certain misconceptions circulating about him.

The 51-year-old actor returned home on May 17 after 25 days, having left on April 22. He had informed the Delhi Police that he had gone on a spiritual journey. His disappearance had sparked concern, with his family reporting him missing after he failed to board his flight to Mumbai. Delhi Police launched a comprehensive search operation involving multiple teams, including the Crime Branch and Special Cell, to locate the actor. His phone was unreachable, and his father, who lives in Palam, contacted the local police.
