Inter Milan has strengthened their attacking options with the signing of Iranian international striker Mehdi Taremi. The Serie A champions announced the acquisition of the 31-year-old on a three-year contract, marking a historic moment as Taremi becomes the first Iranian player to represent the club.
Taremi joins Inter on a free transfer from Portuguese giants FC Porto, having enjoyed a successful stint in Portugal. He will be eager to make his mark in Italian football, with Serie A widely regarded as one of the most competitive leagues in the world.
“Serie A is one of the most prestigious leagues in the world. I will try to do my best as I have always done until now,” Taremi expressed his determination upon joining the Nerazzurri.
Taremi’s arrival follows the signings of midfielder Piotr Zielinski and goalkeeper Josep Martinez, both joining on free transfers. Inter are actively bolstering their squad ahead of the upcoming season, aiming to defend their Serie A title and compete for further honors.
