Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant on Saturday. The ceremony, held at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai, followed the couple’s wedding on Friday. PM Modi arrived at the venue after inaugurating and laying foundation stones for several projects in the city. He was warmly received by Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, who escorted him to the ceremony. Anant, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika, a pharmaceutical heiress, sought Modi’s blessings by touching his feet.
The ceremony was a star-studded affair, attracting a diverse array of guests from the worlds of Bollywood, business, and politics. Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar were among the prominent attendees. From the political sphere, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan were present, alongside Samajwadi Party Chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, who arrived with his family.
Bollywood shone brightly at the event, with Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and international star Kim Kardashian among the prominent figures. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, American reality TV stars Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian also added their presence to the gathering. Madhuri Dixit Nene arrived with her husband Sriram Nene, as did Rajinikanth with his wife Latha. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Jackie Shroff, Hema Malini, Kajal Aggarwal with her husband Gautam Kitchlu, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Anupama Chopra, Atlee and Krishna Priya, Suniel Shetty with Mana Shetty, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Shanaya Kapoor, Disha Patani, Punit Malhotra, Sanjay Dutt with Maanayata Dutt and their children.
