The Prabhas-starrer ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ continues to dominate the box office, with a strong performance in its 17th day. According to Sacnilk data, the film earned an estimated ₹ 14.35 crore in India net collection on July 13 (Saturday), showcasing a remarkable 139 per cent increase in box office earnings during the weekend. This continued success has propelled the film past significant milestones. The total India net collection for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has now crossed ₹ 549.35 crore across languages including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and others.
Producer Vyjayanthi Movies, in a social media post on X (formerly known as Twitter), announced that the film has surpassed the ₹ 700 crore mark worldwide. This achievement solidifies ‘Kalki 2898 AD’s position as a major box office success.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie boasts a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan. The post-apocalyptic film blends elements from the Hindu epic Mahabharata with science fiction, offering a unique and captivating narrative. ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, reportedly India’s most expensive film with a budget of ₹ 600 crore, premiered worldwide on June 27.
‘Kalki 2898 AD’s’ day 17 box office collection saw its strongest performance in Hindi, pulling an estimated ₹ 8.3 crore on Saturday, followed by Telugu (~ ₹ 4.35 crore), Tamil (~ ₹ 35 lakh), Malayalam (~ ₹ 65 lakh), and Kannada (~ ₹ 2 lakh). This consistent box office success demonstrates the film’s broad appeal across language audiences.
