Following their grand star-studded wedding in Mumbai, the newly married couple, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, embarked on a journey to Jamnagar, Gujarat. Upon their arrival, they were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by the locals. Numerous videos circulating online captured the heartfelt reception they received. One particularly heartwarming moment showcased women dressed in traditional sarees performing an aarti for Radhika and showering her with rose petals, a gesture that deeply resonated with viewers. The couple, looking radiant and happy, twinned in pink attire. Radhika kept her look simple in a pink suit, while Anant sported a pink kurta paired with an ethnic jacket.
This is not the first time the couple landed in Jamnagar. Earlier in March, grand pre-wedding celebrations were held in the city. Jamnagar holds a special place in Anant and Radhika’s lives. Anant’s grandmother, Kokilaben Ambani, was born there. It is also the town where his grandfather, Dhirubhai Ambani, and father, Mukesh Ambani, began their business journey. During one of the pre-wedding functions, Radhika shared a heartfelt sentiment, mentioning that both she and Anant spent their childhood in Jamnagar. She stated, “This is where we grew up, where we became friends, where we fell in love, and where we built our relationship. This place has become part of our fondest memories, our deepest secrets, our loudest laughs, and the happiest times that we’ve had together as a family.”
The wedding celebrations, which spanned across three days, were a grand affair filled with festivities and grandeur. It featured three pre-wedding events in Mumbai, Jamnagar, and France-Italy. The extravagant celebrations saw the attendance of numerous Bollywood celebrities, socialites like Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian, and several Indian and international politicians. The wedding itself took place at the Ambani-owned Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Following the wedding ceremony, the Ambani and Merchant families organized a blessing ceremony on July 13th and a reception on July 14th.
