Laura Harrier, the actress and model, chose the iconic Sunset Tower as the setting for her intimate but star-studded dinner party. The event celebrated her new ready-to-wear capsule collection created in collaboration with Reformation. Harrier emphasized the desire for a fun and relaxed atmosphere, inviting her closest friends from diverse backgrounds. The rooftop poolside setting provided the perfect backdrop for a multicolored sunset, captured in photos as guests mingled and enjoyed the ambiance.
The guest list was a who’s who of industry insiders, including Kilo Kish, Kitty Cash, Elsa Hosk, Tyrell Hampton, and Jeremy Pope. As a live pianist played, guests were welcomed with classic Sunset Tower fare – cocktail shrimp, caviar, deviled eggs, and martinis. The evening also featured a photo booth and a tarot station, adding to the playful and intimate atmosphere. The décor reflected the Parisian bistro chic meets LA vibe, with stylish details like branded lighters, ashtrays, and matches scattered throughout the space.
The capsule collection itself embodies Harrier’s personal style, drawing inspiration from off-duty model looks and Parisian streets. “I’ve been a long-time Ref customer since back when I lived on the Lower East Side and would shop at their store there, which had a lot of vintage pieces incorporated into it,” Harrier shared. The campaign showcases her in pops of leopard print against muted essentials like a cowl-neck dress, a knit shorts set, and a sheer handkerchief head scarf. Harrier’s style inspiration leans heavily towards the ’90s It-girls, citing Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, Gwyneth Paltrow, Naomi Campbell, and Kate Moss as personal style references.
The evening didn’t end with dinner. The celebration continued in the lounge area, where guests enjoyed an after-party atmosphere, with musical talents like Kaytranada joining the festivities. The event exemplified a perfect blend of fashion, friendship, and good times, leaving guests with lasting memories of a truly memorable night.
