G.SKILL Unveils Trident Z5 Royal Neo DDR5 Memory for AMD Ryzen 9000 Series

G.SKILL has unveiled the Trident Z5 Royal Neo DDR5 memory, a luxury-class design specifically tailored for AMD’s upcoming Zen 5-based Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs and AM5 platforms. This memory boasts an impressive CNC-cut aluminum heatspreader adorned with a gold or silver mirror finish, complemented by a crystalline light bar featuring what appear to be RGB diamonds. The Trident Z5 Royal Neo series is designed to push the boundaries of memory performance with support for AMD EXPO technology, allowing it to achieve blazing-fast speeds of up to DDR5-8000. Available in both 32GB (2x16GB) and 48GB (2x24GB) kit capacities, the Trident Z5 Royal Neo series delivers an extreme speed memory specification with low-latency CL38-48-48-127 timings. This impressive performance is attributed to the integration of AMD EXPO (Extended Profile for Overclocking) technology updates, which are anticipated to be rolled out to motherboard partners starting in August 2024. G.SKILL explains that when paired with the new AMD Ryzen 9000 series desktop processor on a compatible platform, the Trident Z5 Royal Neo series unlocks extreme overclock memory speeds of up to DDR5-8000 via the 1:2 clock divider mode in BIOS. This provides AMD enthusiasts and overclockers with a high-speed memory solution designed to maximize system performance. With the imminent arrival of Zen 5 and AMD’s new X870E chipset for Ryzen, we can expect to see more DDR5-8000 kits like the Trident Z5 Royal Neo emerge in AMD builds. This development addresses one of the primary criticisms faced by AMD regarding the Ryzen 7000 Series and the introduction of its AM5 chipset and motherboard platform – the limited support for superfast DDR 5 speeds. The Trident Z5 Royal Neo series signifies a significant step forward in memory performance for AMD enthusiasts, paving the way for a new era of high-speed memory solutions designed to unleash the full potential of AMD’s latest processors.
