Gym Workout Leads to Tragic Death of Businessman in India

The fitness trend has seen a surge in gym memberships, particularly after the Covid-19 pandemic, but a recent tragic incident has brought to light the potential dangers of intense workouts. A businessman named Kavaljeet Singh Bagga from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, collapsed and died during a Zumba session. This event has sent shockwaves through the community, reminding everyone of the importance of prioritizing health and safety during exercise.

Bagga, who ran a company called Simran Motors, was captured on video struggling to breathe moments before collapsing on the gym floor. Despite the quick assistance of fellow gym attendees, he could not be revived and was pronounced dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital. This heartbreaking incident follows a disturbing pattern of similar deaths involving prominent figures in India.

In November 2022, TV actor Siddhaanth Surryavanshi experienced a similar fate, collapsing during a gym session and passing away. The same year, in September, comedian Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack while working out and later succumbed to his condition. July 2022 saw the tragic death of television actor Deepesh Bhan, known for his role in the sitcom ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’, who collapsed during a cricket game after his gym session. Before that, in October 2021, renowned south Indian film star Puneeth Rajkumar passed away after collapsing at the gym.

These recurring incidents have prompted experts to emphasize the need for caution and awareness regarding intense workouts. They suggest that high-intensity exercises, coupled with underlying undiagnosed health conditions, can contribute to such tragic outcomes. Experts strongly recommend comprehensive health checks and consultations with physicians before engaging in vigorous exercise, particularly for individuals with pre-existing health concerns. Furthermore, they advise prioritizing proper warm-up routines, gradual increase in exercise intensity, and listening to one’s body to prevent potential risks.
