Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Battery and Other Rumors

With the year nearing its end, Samsung’s focus is shifting towards its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series, which is expected to make its debut in January 2025. While details remain scarce, recent leaks have offered a glimpse into the potential specifications of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the flagship model of the series.

A well-known leaker, Ice Universe, has shared information regarding the battery capacity of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, suggesting it might feature a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. This is the same battery capacity and charging speed found in the 2020 Galaxy S20 Ultra and utilized in the last five Galaxy S Ultra models. While Samsung’s Galaxy S Ultra phones are renowned for their impressive battery life, the lack of significant improvements in this area might leave some wanting more. Especially considering other manufacturers are offering much faster charging speeds, such as OnePlus with their 80W charging in the OnePlus 12.

However, there are some positive aspects to look forward to. Rumors suggest that the Galaxy S25 Ultra might boast thinner bezels compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It could also feature a flatter frame with more rounded corners, potentially reminiscent of the Galaxy Note 7.

Adding to the excitement, the display on at least one of the upcoming Galaxy S25 models could incorporate new OLED technology, enabling a fingerprint scanner to be placed anywhere on the screen. Additionally, as is customary with new phone releases, Samsung is expected to equip the Galaxy S25 series with the latest chipset from Qualcomm. This means the Galaxy S25 models will likely feature the unreleased Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

Finally, we can expect the Galaxy S25 series to maintain its traditional lineup, consisting of three models: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra. Keep an eye out for the launch of these new phones in January 2025, with a release date likely falling within the same month or February.
