Sanders believes that Harris’ choice of a running mate, expected in the next two weeks, will be a strong indicator of whether she will project a progressive agenda. He hopes she will choose a progressive individual who will be a good fit as vice president.
The discussion comes as President Biden has suspended his re-election campaign, paving the way for Harris to become the Democratic nominee.
