India’s Men’s Archery Team Crashes Out in Paris Olympics Quarterfinals

The Indian men’s archery team’s journey at the Paris Olympics came to an abrupt end in the quarterfinals on Monday. The trio of Dhiraj Bommadevara, Tarundeep Rai, and Pravin Jadhav, who had secured a first-round bye, failed to live up to expectations and suffered a disappointing 6-2 defeat to Turkey.

India struggled to maintain consistency throughout the match, shooting scores of 57-53, 55-52, 54-55, and 58-54, ultimately falling short of their opponents. Despite their efforts, the team couldn’t recover from the early deficit, ending their Olympic campaign prematurely. This disappointing result will undoubtedly come as a blow to Indian archery fans who were hoping for a medal from the team.
