In a significant development towards restoring peace in Manipur’s Jiribam district, local authorities and security forces facilitated a peace meeting on Thursday. The meeting brought together members of the Meitei and Hmar communities, part of the Kuki-Chin-Zo group. During this crucial gathering, both communities reached a consensus to work collaboratively towards restoring normalcy in the region. They vowed to prevent further incidents of arson and gunfire, aiming to create a safer and more peaceful environment for all.
