Man Dies by Suicide After Jumping in Front of Metro Train in Bengaluru

A tragic incident occurred on Saturday, August 3, at Doddakallasandra Station in Bengaluru, where a man died after jumping in front of an arriving metro train. The incident caused widespread chaos at the station, disrupting services on the Green Line for several hours.

The incident took place on Saturday evening when the man jumped in front of the approaching train. Following the incident, police arrived at the scene and removed the deceased’s body, which was subsequently sent to a hospital for postmortem.

The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) confirmed the incident in a social media post, stating that the man, who was 57 years old, committed suicide by jumping in front of the train at 17.45 hours. The BMRCL also announced the suspension of train services on the affected route for several hours.

As of now, no information regarding the identity of the individual who committed suicide has been released. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
