Once Human has taken the gaming world by storm, quickly rising to the top of the Steam charts. While it remains to be seen if it will solidify its place among the best PC games of all time, one thing is clear: players are captivated by its immersive experience.
The game plunges players into a vast open world overrun by alien-infected monsters. Like the best survival games, it allows players to build up their base, form alliances (or engage in fierce rivalries) with other players, and craft increasingly powerful equipment to take down formidable bosses.
Many games initially released on PC eventually make their way to consoles, becoming cross-platform titles. But some remain exclusive to the PC realm. The question on everyone’s mind is: will Once Human follow the path of its predecessors and become accessible on consoles, or will it remain a PC-only experience?
As of this writing, the developers haven’t announced any plans for a console release. They have addressed this question on X (formerly Twitter), stating: “Hi! We will carefully [decide] whether to release the game to console based on the testing and player feedback, which will take some time. If there is any update, it will post it to our social media, so stay tuned!”
It seems the team is prioritizing the stability and polish of the PC version before even considering a console port. Even then, their decision will depend on the level of player demand. We will closely monitor the situation and update this article as new information becomes available.
For now, it’s safe to assume that Once Human will only be playable on PC.
