Instagram Influencer Sarthak Sachdeva’s Popcorn Stunt Goes Viral

Instagram influencer Sarthak Sachdeva has become a viral sensation for his outrageous popcorn consumption at a PVR movie theatre. The video, shared on his Instagram account, documents his experience watching the Bollywood movie ‘Bad Newz’ starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, alongside a friend.

The footage reveals an epic popcorn battle, with Sachdeva repeatedly refilling an unlimited popcorn tub. They devoured the first tub in a mere 15 minutes, despite distractions (read: Triptii Dimri) on screen. By the film’s intermission, they had refilled the tub a staggering three times. Their hunger wasn’t satisfied, and they began collecting the popcorn in a bag, eventually accumulating a whopping 3 kilograms.

True to his influencer spirit, Sachdeva and his friend didn’t keep this mountain of popcorn to themselves. They generously distributed it amongst other moviegoers and even ventured outside the theatre to share their bounty with passersby. The video garnered a flood of humorous and incredulous reactions, including one from three-time Grammy winner Ricky Kej who quipped, “You are a hero, who has avenged all the overpriced popcorn that us millions have paid for, across many years.”

Many viewers expressed their amusement and admiration for Sachdeva’s audacity. One user declared, “That’s the way we all should unite and finish all popcorns in 400 rs,” while another jokingly warned, “PVR Wants to Know your Location.” One particularly witty comment read, “I did a smart move, took 100 ₹ from the whole row and shared it with everyone lol. Recovery for refill + profit.” However, some viewers raised concerns about the practicality of taking the massive bag of popcorn outside the theatre.

In another video, Sachdeva reviewed mineral water brands, highlighting their price variations. The video showcased a range of brands, with prices ranging from ₹ 20 to a staggering ₹ 1,500 per bottle. The influencer even went as far as watering a plant with water from the ₹ 1,500 bottle.

Sachdeva’s video review included evian Water, a reported favorite of cricket legend Virat Kohli. He mentioned that a bottle costs ₹ 600 and after tasting it, simply stated, “No comments.” Both videos have captivated audiences, sparking discussions about movie theatre snacks, pricing disparities, and the playful nature of online content.
