Father of Former IAS Trainee Officer Booked for Threatening Officials

Dilip Khedka, the father of former IAS trainee officer Puja Khedkar, has been accused of threatening officials at the Pune Collector’s office and has subsequently been booked by the police. The incident allegedly took place in June when Puja Khedkar was posted at the office. According to reports, Dilip Khedka visited the office and engaged in a heated argument with officials, demanding a separate cabin for his daughter.

Pune Police DCP Smarthna Patil confirmed to news agency ANI that a case against Dilip Khedka was registered at Bundgarden Police station on Thursday night. The case has been filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Section 186 (voluntarily obstructs any public servant in the discharge of his public functions), Section 504 (intentionally insults), and Section 506 (criminal intimidation).

The incident highlights a concerning trend of individuals using their influence or connections to pressure government officials. Police are currently investigating the matter to ascertain the full extent of the alleged threats and determine the appropriate course of action.
