Australia Women ‘A’ dominated India Women ‘A’ in the third and final T20 match, securing a convincing seven-wicket victory and completing a series sweep on Sunday. This victory followed their previous wins by five runs and eight wickets in the first two matches.

India ‘A’ will now move on to a series of three One-Day Internationals before facing the Australian hosts in a one-off unofficial Test match, scheduled for August 22.

Chasing a modest target of 121 runs, Australia’s chase was spearheaded by Tahlia McGrath’s explosive unbeaten innings of 51 runs off just 22 balls, featuring eight fours and two sixes. McGrath’s impactful performance propelled Australia to a comfortable victory in just 13.5 overs, finishing on 121/3.

McGrath’s dominance was evident in her final three deliveries, where she smashed three consecutive fours off pacer Shabnam Shakil to seal the win.

McGrath received valuable support from opening batter Tahlia Wilson, who scored 39 runs off 26 balls with five fours and a six. The duo shared a crucial 48-run partnership for the third wicket, further solidifying Australia’s position in the match.

Earlier in the game, Kiran Navigre was the lone Indian batter to offer resistance, scoring a hard-hitting 38 runs off 20 balls, including six fours and a six. Navigre’s contribution came after India found themselves struggling at 47/5.

Skipper Minnu Mani also played a crucial role, scoring 22 runs off 23 balls and partnering with Navigre for a 57-run stand for the sixth wicket. This partnership helped India surpass the 100-run mark.

For Australia, Nicola Hancock, Grace Parsons, and Maitlan Brown each claimed two wickets, contributing significantly to their team’s success.
