NIRF Rankings 2024 Released: Top Indian Universities Announced

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), a methodology adopted by the Indian Education Ministry to rank higher educational institutions, has released its rankings for the year 2024. The rankings, which were unveiled at 3 pm today (August 12), provide insights into the performance of leading universities across the country.

The NIRF framework was established in 2015 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (now Education Ministry). The ranking process takes into account five core parameters:

*

Teaching, Learning and Resources:

This parameter assesses the quality of teaching, faculty, learning resources, and infrastructure available at the institution.
*

Research and Professional Practices:

It evaluates the institution’s research output, publications, and professional practices.
*

Graduation Outcomes:

This parameter focuses on the employability and further studies success of graduates from the institution.
*

Outreach and Inclusivity:

It assesses the institution’s efforts to reach out to diverse communities and promote inclusivity.
*

Perception:

This parameter considers the reputation and perception of the institution among stakeholders, including peers, students, employers, and the general public.
