The Ministry of Education announced the results of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 rankings on August 12, marking the ninth edition of the report. This framework, developed by the Ministry, evaluates and ranks higher education institutions across India based on five key parameters: Teaching, Learning and Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practices (RPC), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI), and Perception (PER).
In the NIRF 2024 rankings, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has once again emerged as the top-ranked institution in the Management category. This marks the fifth consecutive year that IIM Ahmedabad has secured this prestigious position, solidifying its reputation as a leading institution in management education.
IIM Ahmedabad is globally recognized for its excellence in management, consistently advancing the fields of research, leadership, and education. The institute offers a wide array of customized executive education programs catering to a diverse audience, including business leaders, policymakers, industry professionals, and more. Its robust infrastructure and outstanding placement record have been instrumental in its sustained success.

IIM Ahmedabad’s performance across various parameters in the NIRF rankings highlights its exceptional strengths. In NIRF 2024, the institute achieved a score of 91.88 in TLR, reflecting its robust infrastructure, 63.89 in RPC showcasing its remarkable research contributions, and 98.71 in GO demonstrating its impressive placement rates. Furthermore, it earned 71.72 in OI and 96.81 in PER.
IIM Ahmedabad consistently sets a high standard in placement success, offering graduates exceptional career opportunities and lucrative salary packages. For the academic year 2021-22, the institute achieved a remarkable median salary of thirty-one lakhs per annum for its placed graduates. Out of 429 students who graduated, a remarkable 428 secured placements, underscoring the institution’s dedication to providing substantial career prospects and a high return on educational investment.
