oneworld® Wins ‘Favourite Airline Alliance’ Award for Third Consecutive Year

The oneworld® alliance has once again been crowned the ‘Favourite Airline Alliance’ at The Trazees, marking its third consecutive victory and its seventh overall win. This accolade, determined by votes from Trazee Travel’s readers—predominantly travelers between 25 and 40 years old—underscores oneworld’s influence in shaping industry trends and its strong appeal to the millennial demographic.

The award was presented during a ceremony at Nashville’s Joseph Hotel, with oneworld’s Director of Corporate Sales & Events, Chris Quiriconi, accepting on behalf of the alliance.

Beyond the main award, oneworld members also garnered significant recognition. Alaska Airlines was awarded ‘Favourite Airline Website,’ showcasing the alliance’s commitment to digital innovation and enhancing the online experience for its passengers. Meanwhile, Royal Air Maroc secured the ‘Best Airline in Africa’ accolade, demonstrating oneworld’s dedication to providing exceptional service across the globe.

Chris Quiriconi expressed the alliance’s pride in receiving these accolades, stating, “As we raise a glass to 25 years of the oneworld alliance, we are honored to have received two top travel industry awards. To be named ‘Favourite Airline Alliance’ is a testament to our members and the excellent customer service and connectivity they offer around the world each day. This shows the value customers put on travelling with oneworld alliance members. For the alliance and its members to also be recognized for the highest quality onboard wines shows the devotion to offering customers the best travel experience at 35,000ft.”

Further cementing oneworld’s excellence, Qatar Airways’ hub, Hamad International Airport in Doha, was named the ‘Favourite Airport in the Middle East’ for the third consecutive year, lauded for its outstanding connectivity and comprehensive services.

Oneworld also achieved a double victory at the Global Traveler’s ‘Wines on the Wing’ awards, earning the title of ‘Best Alliance.’ This prestigious event, now in its 18th year, held a blind tasting competition in New York, judged by prominent wine industry professionals, including vintners, sommeliers, and shop owners. American Airlines received recognition for its exceptional wine selection in the North American first-class category, securing awards for ‘Best Champagne/Sparkling’ and ‘Best White Wines.’ Alaska Airlines took home the title for ‘Best Red Wines North America First Class.’ British Airways and Qatar Airways also received accolades for their outstanding champagne and wine offerings in international first and business classes.

These awards serve as a powerful testament to oneworld’s dedication to offering a seamless and enriching travel experience, from online booking to onboard services. The alliance’s commitment to quality and innovation continues to resonate with travelers, solidifying its position as a leader in the global airline industry.
