The series, supported by Tourism Ireland and Northern Ireland Screen, centers around the annual Country House Auction, organized by the esteemed Sheppard’s Irish Auction House. Last year’s auction, held within the majestic 18th-century Castle Durrow, saw the castle’s owners, Tessa and Robin Leidig, opening their 300-year-old home to a vibrant community of antique enthusiasts, buyers, sellers, and historical homeowners, all eager to witness the bidding on rare and treasured items.
Beyond the captivating world of auctions, ‘Country House Auction’ also showcases the breathtaking landscapes of County Laois. Viewers will be treated to the grandeur of Castle Durrow and Sheppard’s Auction House alongside other captivating locations in the surrounding area, including Swifte’s Heath and Burnchurch House in County Kilkenny, Limerick Museum, and Gloster House in County Offaly.
