NVIDIA Unveils RTX 2000E Ada: Entry-Level Workstation GPU with ECC Memory

NVIDIA has introduced its latest addition to the RTX 2000 Ada series – the RTX 2000E Ada workstation graphics card. This single-slot design packs a punch, featuring 16GB of GDDR6 memory with ECC support, a feature that sets it apart from its non-ECC counterpart. The ‘E’ in the name stands for ECC (Error Correction Code), a crucial feature in the professional world where data accuracy is paramount.

The new NVIDIA RTX 2000E Ada is designed for space-constrained workstations, offering a low-profile and single-slot design. The ECC memory is a game-changer for professionals, as it detects and corrects single-bit errors in real-time, ensuring data integrity. This GPU is perfect for tasks demanding high accuracy, such as medical imaging, scientific research, and financial modeling.

Under the hood, the RTX 2000E Ada boasts 22 RT cores, 88 Tensor cores, and 2816 CUDA cores, providing ample power for demanding workloads. The card’s 16GB of GDDR6 memory with ECC support operates on a 128-bit memory bus, delivering a memory bandwidth of around 224GB/sec. Despite its impressive capabilities, the RTX 2000E Ada is incredibly energy-efficient, with a maximum TDP of just 50W. This is 20W lower than the non-ECC version and eliminates the need for an external power connector.

The RTX 2000E Ada features 4 x miniDisplayPort 1.4a ports for display connectivity. While it offers similar compute performance to the non-E version, its lower TDP (50W vs 70W) and slightly reduced GPU clocks result in a slightly slower clock speed. Despite this, it still delivers an impressive 8.9 TFLOPs of single-precision compute performance.

NVIDIA has equipped the RTX 2000E Ada with 20.5 TFLOPs of RT Core performance and 71 TOPS/71 TFLOPs of Tensor AI performance, making it ideal for tasks like real-time ray tracing and AI-accelerated workloads. It also comes with support for DLSS 3 and AV1 encoder, perfect for content creators, streamers, and broadcasters.

PNY, a leading manufacturer of graphics cards, has described the NVIDIA RTX 2000E Ada as a powerful, low-profile GPU that brings the power of NVIDIA RTX to professionals. This card delivers real-time ray tracing, AI-accelerated compute, and high-performance graphics in a compact form factor.

With its focus on accuracy, efficiency, and performance, the NVIDIA RTX 2000E Ada is a compelling choice for professionals in various fields. It offers a balance of power, features, and reliability, making it an ideal choice for demanding workloads in a variety of applications.
