The UP Yoddhas made a significant move during the second day of the Pro Kabaddi League 2024 Auction in Mumbai, securing the services of experienced raider Bhavani Rajput for Rs. 45 lakh. Rajput, who made his PKL debut in season five with the Tamil Thalaivas, brings a solid track record to the Yoddhas.
While his first season saw him feature in just four matches, scoring a total of three points, Rajput showcased his skills more prominently in his second season with the Chennai-based side, four years later. In that campaign, he amassed 50 points over 21 matches, boasting a respectable raid strike rate of 50%.
Rajput continued his journey with the Jaipur Pink Panthers over the past two seasons, contributing significantly to their success with a combined 101 points. His ability to raid effectively and his experience in the league make him a valuable asset to the UP Yoddhas as they gear up for the upcoming season. The Yoddhas will be hoping that Rajput’s experience and raiding skills can help them achieve their goals in PKL 2024.
