UP Police Constable Exam Admit Cards to be Released on August 16th

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB) is gearing up to release the admit cards for the highly anticipated UP Police Constable examination. The admit cards, containing crucial exam-related information, will be made available online on August 16th at 5:00 pm.

This examination, scheduled to take place on August 23rd, 24th, 25th, 30th, and 31st, aims to fill a significant number of 60,244 constable positions within the Uttar Pradesh Police force. The exam will be conducted in two shifts across various examination centers throughout the state. The first shift will be from 10 am to 12 noon, while the second shift will be held from 3-5 pm.

All candidates who have applied for the constable positions can download their admit cards from the official website of UPPBPB at uppbpb.gov.in. The process is straightforward:

1. Visit the official website of UPPBPB at uppbpb.gov.in.
2. Locate the link for the UP Police Admit Card 2024 on the homepage.
3. Click on the link and enter your login details (registration number and date of birth).
4. Submit the details, and your admit card will appear on the screen.
5. Download the admit card and take a printout for future reference.

The decision to spread the examination days over multiple dates was taken by the UPPBPB to accommodate the Janmashtami holiday, which falls on August 26th.

It’s important to note that this examination is a re-test, following the cancellation of the earlier exam held on February 17th and 18th. The previous exam, which saw over 48 lakh aspirants appearing in four shifts, was unfortunately marred by a question paper leak incident. This led the state government to cancel the exam on February 24th and assure candidates that a re-test would be conducted within six months.

The official notice released by the UPPBPB, as quoted by the Hindustan Times, emphasizes the importance of downloading and carefully reviewing the examination district/city information slip. Candidates are advised to read all instructions provided in the slip, alongside the recruitment notification dated December 23rd.
