Before their grand wedding celebration, they embarked on a private elopement, seeking the breathtaking landscapes of Big Sur and Yosemite. They exchanged vows with the crashing waves as their backdrop, creating a surreal and unforgettable moment.
Their intimate wedding was a celebration of both their Indian and American heritages. They hosted their mehendi and haldi celebrations at their own home and at Philip’s parents’ residence. The mehendi was a vibrant boho-chic affair filled with music, games, and captured memories on a polaroid camera. For the haldi, Gopisetty donned a cheerful yellow printed lehenga by Anita Dongre, while Philip complemented her in a yellow kurta set.
For their wedding, they chose The Barn at Harrow Cellars, nestled amidst vineyards in Sonoma’s renowned wine region. The elegant outdoor venue was adorned with rustic florals in shades of peach, cream, orange, and pink, blending seamlessly with the lush green surroundings.
Their wedding ceremony was a traditional Telugu affair, where Gopisetty opted for a pastel pink Kanjeevaram sari instead of the traditional red and white hues. Philip complemented her in a dhoti-style sherwani, adding a touch of South Indian flair. For the reception, she changed into a stunning Seema Gujral lehenga, letting her statement jewelry, including a polki necklace set and maang tikka, take center stage.
One of their favorite moments was the murthum ceremony, when the veil dropped and they saw each other for the first time.
