Air Serbia Resumes Direct Flights Between Belgrade and Nice

Air Serbia is set to resume its direct flights between Belgrade and Nice, with the first flight scheduled for September 19. This twice-weekly service, operating on Thursdays and Sundays, will cater to both leisure and business travelers seeking flexible travel options. The route, initially launched as a seasonal service in June 2019, marks a significant step in reconnecting the Serbian capital with the picturesque French Riviera.

“Bringing this city back into our growing network of destinations enables a fast and comfortable link, as well as good connections from Nice via Belgrade to a large number of cities around the world,” stated Boško Rupić, Air Serbia’s general manager for commercial and strategy.

As Serbia’s national airline, Air Serbia plays a pivotal role in the country’s aviation sector. Based at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, the airline operates as a major hub, connecting Serbia to the world. Since its rebranding from Jat Airways in 2013, Air Serbia has expanded significantly, now offering flights to 81 destinations globally, solidifying its position as a key player in the international aviation market.

The reintroduction of the Belgrade-Nice route is a strategic move by Air Serbia to strengthen its European network. By offering direct flights to Nice, the airline is providing passengers with more convenient travel options, enhancing connectivity between Serbia and key destinations in Europe. This initiative underscores Air Serbia’s commitment to expanding its route network and meeting the diverse needs of its passengers.

Beyond leisure travel, the route is expected to significantly boost business travel, providing seamless connections for professionals between these two vibrant cities. This will further enhance trade and economic ties between Serbia and France. The convenience of direct flights is invaluable for business travelers, reducing travel time and increasing efficiency, making it easier to conduct business across borders.

Beyond connectivity, the resumption of this route is expected to have a positive impact on tourism and business relations between Serbia and France. Nice, renowned for its picturesque landscapes and vibrant culture, is a popular destination for Serbian travelers. These direct flights are likely to encourage more tourists from Serbia to explore the French Riviera, while also attracting French visitors to discover the rich history and culture of Belgrade.

Overall, Air Serbia’s decision to resume flights between Belgrade and Nice reflects the airline’s focus on growth and customer satisfaction. By expanding its services and increasing connectivity, Air Serbia is positioning itself as a leading carrier in the region, committed to providing passengers with reliable and convenient travel options across Europe and beyond. This move not only enhances leisure travel but also serves as a catalyst for boosting business trips, reinforcing the airline’s role as a critical link in the global business travel network.
