Ankit Mayank, a Bengaluru resident, recently shared his harrowing experience with a packers and movers company, Halef International Pvt Ltd, on X (formerly Twitter). He detailed a series of alleged thefts and damages that occurred during his house shift on August 14th. According to Mayank, a bag containing ₹2 lakh in cash, gold jewelry, and other valuable items, estimated to be worth ₹8 lakh, went missing during the move. He claims that the company’s team of seven workers stole the bag.
Mayank further alleged that the company’s staff left his home in a state of disarray, with trollies, bags, and suitcases left open and in disorganised manner. He also stated that important documents and papers were scattered on the floor, with several missing or damaged.
The alleged damages extended beyond the missing bag. Mayank claims that expensive items such as imported perfumes, limited-edition gold-plated pens, and several bags were either damaged or missing. He also mentioned damage to furniture and house belongings, including cupboards.
Despite these allegations, Mayank claims that Halef International Pvt Ltd is refusing to take responsibility, stating that only their staff is responsible, not the company itself. This, he argues, is unacceptable given that the company hired and sent the staff who are allegedly responsible for the theft and damage.
Mayank stated that he and his wife are deeply distressed by this experience and have not slept properly in over 48 hours. He emphasized the emotional toll this has taken on them, particularly his wife, as some of the stolen items belonged to her mother, who is currently in a coma.
In a separate post, Mayank further alleged that the company is harassing him and his wife by spreading false and defamatory accusations against them. He claimed that Halef International Pvt Ltd leaked their personal information, including their phone number and address, on X. The company’s actions have caused significant emotional distress to the couple, who are seeking accountability and justice for the alleged theft and damage.
