Shiv Sena MP Milind Deora has condemned the alleged sexual assault of two young girls at a kindergarten in Badlapur, Thane district. Expressing deep concern, Deora stated that as a father, his heart goes out to the victims and their families. He described the incident as an insult to the core values of society and the nation, emphasizing the need for stringent background checks and increased vigilance to safeguard children.
Deora highlighted the Maharashtra government’s zero-tolerance policy towards sexual assault and assured that justice will be served. He listed six key steps taken by the state government in response to public outrage:

Arrest of the accused:
The accused has been apprehended and will face trial in a fast-track court.2.
Formation of an SIT:
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the leadership of a Director General (DG) rank officer has been established to thoroughly investigate the case.3.
Suspension of school personnel:
The school principal, class teacher, and attendants have been suspended pending the investigation.4.
Disciplinary action against police officers:
Police officers who delayed action have been removed from duty.5.
Ministerial presence:
Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar has visited Badlapur to personally assess the situation.6.
High-level directives:
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis have ordered a watertight case against the accused, ensuring a comprehensive and thorough investigation.Chief Minister Shinde, reiterating the government’s commitment to justice, stated that an SIT has been formed to investigate the incident and take appropriate action against the school. He also assured that the case will be fast-tracked to ensure swift justice for the victims.
Maharashtra Minister Girish Mahajan visited the site and spoke to protesters, acknowledging the public’s anger and assuring them of the government’s unwavering commitment to bringing the perpetrators to justice.
