Ganni Moves to Paris Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2025

Ganni, a leading Danish fashion brand, is making a significant move to Paris Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2025 season. The brand, known for its playful and accessible designs, will be showcasing its collection on Tuesday, September 24th. This isn’t a one-off event; Ganni’s shift to Paris signals a strategic ambition for global expansion.

Ganni CEO Laura Du Rusquec, who joined the company in April after a stint as deputy CEO of Balenciaga, highlighted the strategic reasoning behind the move. She stated that Paris offers an unmatched global platform, allowing Ganni to showcase its Spring/Summer 2025 collection and its commitment to responsible practices within the fashion industry.

This decision comes after two seasons of Ganni opting out of Copenhagen Fashion Week. Instead, the brand focused on supporting emerging talents within the Danish fashion scene. However, with Ganni’s global reach expanding, including 700 stockists and 70 stores worldwide, the brand felt the need to tap into the wider audience and heightened attention offered by Paris Fashion Week.

The move is part of a long-term strategy for Ganni, which was launched in 2009 by husband and wife duo Nicolaj and Ditte Reffstrup. Ditte, the creative director, and Nicolaj, who stepped down as CEO in 2018 to focus on the brand’s sustainability goals, have seen Ganni become a global force.

Ganni’s transition to Paris follows the path taken by other prominent Danish brands like Cecilie Bahnsen and Heliot Emil, who have also relocated their runway shows to the French capital in pursuit of increased exposure and market share.

With its new Parisian showcase, Ganni aims to reach a broader audience and solidify its position as a major player in the global fashion industry. The brand’s decision to present its collection on the second day of Paris Fashion Week, directly after Dior and before Saint Laurent, further underscores its ambition to be a key player in the high-profile fashion calendar.
