It is produced through a process called hydrotreatment, which involves treating the oils with hydrogen at high temperatures and pressures. This process results in a high-quality fuel that closely resembles conventional diesel in terms of performance and chemical structure. HVO’s chemical similarity to fossil diesel allows for a seamless substitution without any blending, making it an ideal choice for this initiative.
