Caribbean Premier League 2024: New Team, New Rivalries, Same Thrilling Action

The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is set to ignite the summer with its 12th season, scheduled from August 30 to October 7. With six teams vying for the coveted title, the tournament promises to be a thrilling spectacle of Caribbean cricket.

One of the most exciting developments for this season is the addition of a new team – the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. Replacing the Jamaica Tallawahs, the Falcons are ready to make their mark on the CPL, adding a new dimension to the tournament’s dynamics. The 2013, 2016, and 2022 champions, the Jamaica Tallawahs, will be missed, but the Falcons’ arrival promises fresh excitement and new rivalries.

The 34 matches will be played across seven venues, with the top four teams in the league phase advancing to the playoffs. Each team can field a maximum of four overseas players in their playing XI for a match. To nurture emerging talent, each team must include an emerging player in at least five games, allowing them to field an additional overseas player in those matches.

With a mix of established stars and exciting young talent, each team is ready to battle it out for the championship. Here’s a look at the squads for each team:
