AMD’s upcoming RDNA 4 architecture is generating a lot of buzz, and now we have new leaks about the Radeon RX 8000 series cards. According to leaker Kepler_L2, these cards will boast 48MB to 64MB of next-gen Infinity Cache.

The leaks point to three distinct configurations within the RX 8000 series. The top-tier Radeon RX 8800 XT is rumored to have a 256-bit memory bus, 20Gbps GDDR6 memory, and 64MB of Infinity Cache. The RX 8700 XT, sitting in the middle, is said to have a 256-bit memory bus, 18Gbps GQDDR6 memory, and 64MB of Infinity Cache. Finally, the entry-level RX 8600 XT is expected to feature a 192-bit memory bus, 19Gbps GDDR6 memory, and 48MB of Infinity Cache.

It’s interesting to note that AMD appears to be maintaining the same amount of Infinity Cache on the RX 8800 XT compared to its RDNA 3 predecessor, the RX 7800 XT. However, this new Infinity Cache is next-gen, implying improved performance. Additionally, the memory speed on the RX 8800 XT sees a slight bump from 19.5Gbps to 20Gbps, suggesting a marginal increase in memory bandwidth.
