Oceaneering International Secures Multiple Contracts in UK North Sea

Oceaneering International Inc. (OII) has secured multiple contracts in the UK North Sea region, demonstrating its expansion into a key market and its expertise in the sector. The company’s UK-based subsidiary, Oceaneering International Services, has announced these contracts with various operators in the region. These contracts encompass a range of services, including decommissioning, inspection, subsea infrastructure preparation, and installation support. The contracts are expected to last for 65 days and include options for extensions.

Oceaneering’s UK North Sea hub, located in Aberdeen, Scotland, will manage and execute the contracts. The operations are slated to begin in August 2024 and will utilize the company’s Island Offshore multiservice vessel (MSV) Island Frontier. Notably, Oceaneering has extended the charter for the MSV Island Frontier until December 2025. The vessel was previously employed for operations in West Africa and the Black Sea.

These contracts reflect Oceaneering’s commitment to the UK North Sea region and its strong relationships with key clients in the area. The company’s expertise in decommissioning and subsea infrastructure services positions it well to capitalize on the growing demand for these services in the region.
