Karnataka Introduces ‘Anywhere Registration’ for Property Registration

Starting September 2nd, property registration in Karnataka will become significantly easier with the implementation of the ‘Anywhere Registration’ system. This new initiative allows individuals to register their properties at any sub-registrar office within their district, eliminating the need to visit a specific office based on location.

The Karnataka government believes this reform will significantly reduce waiting times and alleviate the burden on individuals seeking to register their properties. Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda emphasized the commitment to easing governance for the public, stating that the ‘Anywhere Registration’ system will streamline the process and minimize delays.

This innovative system, already successfully launched in Belagavi and Tumakuru districts, has now been extended to Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. In these districts, property owners can choose from any of the sub-registrar offices within their respective areas for registration. For example, in Udupi, homeowners can choose to register at offices in Udupi, Brahmavar, Kundapur, Shankaranarayana, Byndoor, and Karkala. Similarly, Dakshina Kannada residents can opt for any sub-registrar office in Mangaluru, Mulki, Bantwal, Puttur, Belthangady, Vittal, Sullia, and Moodbidri.

The ‘Anywhere Registration’ system is expected to greatly benefit homebuyers in Karnataka by providing flexibility and convenience. By eliminating the need to visit a specific office, the system aims to streamline the registration process and reduce overcrowding at sub-registrar offices. This reform aligns with the government’s focus on improving public services and creating a more efficient and accessible environment for citizens.
