In a recent ABC News/Ipsos poll, Harris has secured a 6-point lead over former President Donald Trump among likely voters, indicating potential momentum for the Democratic nominee.
This lead has been steadily growing since the Democratic National Convention, with Harris emerging ahead of Trump in at least nine surveys conducted after the event. The ABC News/Ipsos poll, published on Sunday, shows Harris garnering 52% support compared to Trump’s 46% among likely voters.

He leads Harris by 8 points each in terms of trust regarding the economy and inflation, and by 9 points when it comes to handling the US-Mexico border crisis. Conversely, Harris is seen as more trustworthy than Trump in protecting American democracy and making Supreme Court appointments.
