HRAWI Conducts FSSAI’s FoSTaC Training for Hospitality Professionals in Ahmedabad

The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) recently conducted the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India’s (FSSAI) latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) program on August 28th. Held at The Grand Bhagwati in Ahmedabad, the program saw the participation of 23 hospitality professionals who received specialized training from Dr. Pasupathy of Parikshan.

The training focused on essential aspects of food safety, covering areas such as food handling, preparation, hygiene, sanitation, and waste management. By emphasizing these critical aspects, the program provided attendees with practical skills to implement stringent food safety protocols in their daily operations. This comprehensive training aims to enhance the overall food safety standards within the hospitality sector.

HRAWI has a strong commitment to promoting food safety within the industry. To date, the organization has successfully trained and certified 3,106 professionals through FSSAI’s FoSTaC Training Programme, demonstrating its dedication to raising the bar for food safety standards.

HRAWI, a prominent association representing the interests of hotels and restaurants across Western India for over 73 years, plays a pivotal role in shaping and advocating for the interests of the hospitality industry in India. Its extensive membership spans Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, and the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu. The association, affiliated with the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), the national body headquartered in New Delhi, continues to be a significant voice for the hospitality industry in the region.
