Drive Electric Awards to Honor Leaders in EV Transition at AutoMobility LA 2024

The Los Angeles Auto Show and Plug In America are joining forces to celebrate the achievements of those dedicated to the electric vehicle (EV) movement. The 2024 Drive Electric Awards will honor 11 individuals and organizations for their leadership, perseverance, and commitment to the EV transition at AutoMobility LA 2024, the LA Auto Show’s global press and industry day, on November 21st.

The honorees represent a diverse range of contributors, from the U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Jennifer M. Granholm to individuals working tirelessly behind the scenes. This year’s nominee pool was exceptionally strong, reflecting the growing momentum of electrification across the country.

“We were excited to learn about the impactful electrification work being done in every pocket of the country, and we are thrilled our celebration will be part of the LA Auto Show,” said Joel Levin, Executive Director of Plug In America.

Elected Officials Protecting America (EOPA), based in Maine, and the city of San Antonio’s EVSA Ambassador Program

ComEd, an Exelon company serving northern Illinois

Vivian Rahwanji of Richmond, California

City Captain Award:

Caroline Nellis of Evansville, Indiana

Student Award:

Diya Kandhra, majoring in environmental economics and policy at the University of California, Berkeley
