In a historic match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 qualifier, Singapore delivered a resounding victory over Mongolia, shattering several records in the process. The match, held at the YSD-UKM Cricket Oval in Malaysia, saw Mongolia crumble to a mere 10 runs in 10 overs, the joint-lowest total in T20I history, equaling the Isle of Man’s infamous record set in 2023.
Singapore’s bowlers dominated from the start, limiting Mongolia to a meager total. Five Mongolian batsmen were dismissed for ducks, with the highest individual score being just 2 runs, achieved by two batters. Harsha Bhardwaj emerged as the star performer, taking an incredible 6 wickets for just 3 runs in 4 overs, making it the second-best bowling performance in T20I history. He was well supported by Akshay Puri (2/4), Rahul Sheshadri (1/2), and Ramesh Kalimuthu (1/1).
Singapore, after losing a wicket on the very first ball of their chase, secured victory in just five balls.
