TÜV Rheinland Celebrates 10th Annual ‘All Quality Matters’ Solar & Energy Storage Congress in Shanghai

TÜV Rheinland Greater China hosted its 10th annual ‘All Quality Matters’ Solar & Energy Storage System (ESS) Congress and Award Ceremony in Shanghai on September 3, 2024, marking a decade of progress in the Chinese PV and energy storage industries. Since its inception in 2015, the Congress has become a platform for industry stakeholders to celebrate achievements, share insights, and chart a course for future development.

The event featured a compelling keynote address by Junfeng Li, Executive Council Member of China Energy Research Society (CERS), who emphasized the crucial role of PV and energy storage in achieving global sustainable development. Frank Piller, Global Vice President of TÜV Rheinland Solar & Commercial Products, highlighted the company’s commitment to ensuring quality and safety within the industry, providing comprehensive support to businesses across the value chain.

Ziyue Wang, Research Supervisor of BloombergNEF, presented an in-depth analysis of the global PV and energy storage market, providing valuable insights into market trends and strategies for future growth.

Recognizing the burgeoning hydrogen industry, TÜV Rheinland officially released the ‘White Paper on the Full Industry Chain of Hydrogen and Fuel Cells.’ This comprehensive document provides a detailed analysis of the industry’s current state, technological advancements, market potential, and challenges. It focuses particularly on the growth and application of ‘green hydrogen,’ a sustainable alternative derived from renewable energy sources.

TÜV Rheinland also unveiled ‘Key Technical Data on High-precision Measurement of PV Modules,’ showcasing the latest research findings on mainstream PV modules in terms of power generation efficiency and electrical characteristics. This data provides valuable insights into industry trends and serves as a reference for technological advancements.

The ‘All Quality Matters Awards’ recognized the achievements of outstanding companies across 22 categories within the PV module, PV & energy storage products, and PV power station sectors. New categories were introduced this year, reflecting the industry’s diversification and expansion. A total of 17 companies were honored for their exceptional contributions.

The Congress also featured a Leaders Forum titled ‘Transcend the Cycles for a Win-Win Future,’ where industry leaders discussed the current challenges faced by the PV industry, including price declines and reduced output value. Participants shared strategies for navigating market cycles and achieving sustainable growth.
