A case has been registered against renowned Kannada filmmaker Yogaraj Bhat and three others following the tragic death of a crew member on the set of his film ‘Manada Kadalu’. The incident occurred on September 3rd, during the filming process near Adakamaranahalli in Dasanapura. The area falls under the jurisdiction of the Madanayakanahalli police station.
The deceased crew member, Mohan Kumar, sustained severe injuries after falling from a 30-foot ladder on the film set. He was immediately transported to the hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries. Following the incident, Kumar’s brother filed a complaint with the authorities, leading to a case being filed against Bhat, the film’s assistant director, and the producer.
The incident has shaken the Kannada film industry, highlighting the importance of safety measures on film sets. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident and to ensure that such tragedies are prevented in the future.
