Khaite’s Spring/Summer 2025 Show: A Modern Take on Effortless Chic

Khaite, renowned for its cool, effortless aesthetic, unveiled its spring/summer 2025 collection with a clear inspiration: the ’90s New York woman. The show, held backstage at New York Fashion Week, embodied the brand’s signature minimalist style with a touch of urban edge.

Hairstylist Guido Palau, known for his ability to capture the essence of a moment, created low ponytails that exuded a just-showered, effortlessly chic vibe. He used mousse to add texture and volume, then raked hair into place with his fingers, giving the style a touch of “toughness.” The ponytails were adorned with Khaite’s signature gold hair cuffs, adding a touch of sophistication to the undone look. “This easy, casual hair is transformed into something really elevated and special with this hair piece,” Palau explained, highlighting the juxtaposition between the relaxed style and the refined accessory.

The focus on natural beauty extended to the makeup. NARS’s head of artistry, Niko Lopez, opted for a “raw skin” approach, emphasizing natural features and allowing the skin’s natural glow to shine through. The models’ skin was prepped with products from Danucera, the brainchild of acclaimed aesthetician Danuta Mieloch, known for her expertise in skin care. The brand’s hero product, Cerabalm, played a crucial role in preparing the skin for the runway, acting as a cleansing balm, moisturizer, and skin soother all in one.

After the initial skin prep, the models received a light touch of NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer to combat dark circles, followed by a subtle application of After Glow Blush in shades of coral, pink, and burgundy. The result was a natural flush that enhanced the skin’s natural radiance without looking overly made-up, allowing the brows to take center stage.

Khaite’s spring/summer 2025 collection embodied a modern take on effortless chic, showcasing the brand’s commitment to timeless essentials with a contemporary twist. The show’s emphasis on natural beauty and understated elegance perfectly reflected the spirit of the New York woman, both in the ’90s and today.
