The Abbey Resort & Avani Spa, a premier lakeside destination in Lake Geneva, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Noah Gumustekin as its new Executive Chef. Chef Noah steps into a pivotal role, leading the resort’s culinary team and shaping the dining experience for guests.
“Cultures all around the world love food,” says Chef Noah. “Food brings people together, whether it’s for big family meals like Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas, or weekend barbecues. As a chef, I’m looking forward to creating memorable moments in people’s lives.”
Chef Noah will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort’s culinary operations. This includes crafting seasonal menus featuring locally sourced ingredients for the resort’s popular eateries – Waterfront Restaurant, Gazebo Grille, and Cafe Latte. He will also curate health-conscious options for the renowned Avani Spa, manage in-room dining, and coordinate culinary aspects for banquet events.
Chef Noah’s leadership extends to guiding a team of approximately 40 professionals at 240 West, the resort’s flagship dining venue. With over two decades of international culinary experience, Chef Noah boasts a wealth of knowledge and expertise. He has earned multiple Silver Medal awards from the American Culinary Federation and held prominent culinary management roles across the globe. His impressive resume includes positions such as Chef de Cuisine at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in Lake Oconee, GA, Sea Island Company in Saint Simons Island, GA, and Loews Hotels in Orlando, FL. He has also served as Banquet Chef at the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Orlando, FL, and held significant culinary positions at Mövenpick in Turkey, Marriott Hotels in Orlando, FL, and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL.
