Saudia, Saudi Arabia’s official airline, has announced a strategic partnership with AlUla Club Company, a move that promises to bring exclusive travel benefits to the company’s employees and partners. The agreement, signed by Mr. Wail Basaffar, Assistant Vice President of KSA Sales at Saudia, and Mr. Waleed Muath, CEO of AlUla Club Company, outlines tailored discounts and favorable rates for both local and international journeys via Saudia. This collaboration goes beyond just offering competitive travel options; it signifies a deeper commitment from Saudia to promote Al-Ula’s heritage and tourism.
This partnership is the latest in a series of initiatives undertaken by Saudia to enhance Al-Ula’s visibility on the global stage. The airline has been instrumental in showcasing the region’s unique appeal through several high-profile events and innovative offerings. A notable achievement includes the integration of AlUla FM into Saudia’s in-flight entertainment system, marking the first time a radio station has achieved this feat. Moreover, Saudia has been a key sponsor of the annual AlUla Skies Festival for the past two years, supporting activities like hot air ballooning and drone shows that draw in visitors from across the globe.
The airline’s commitment to Al-Ula’s cultural allure is further evident through its sponsorship of the Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo in 2022. In 2021, Saudia went a step further by launching the “Museum in the Sky,” an airborne exhibition that presented Al-Ula’s archaeological wonders to passengers. To enhance accessibility, Saudia introduced seasonal flights to AlUla in 2019, demonstrating its dedication to fostering the region’s growth and development.
Wail Basaffar, commenting on the partnership, highlighted, “This collaboration not only reflects Saudia’s commitment to expanding our network of partnerships but also builds on our long-standing relationship with RCU. As we continue to grow our fleet and enhance our travel services, we are excited to offer exclusive benefits to AlUla Club Company employees and further strengthen our enduring ties with the region.”
Waleed Muath, CEO of AlUla Club Company, added, “This agreement underscores AlUla Club Company’s dedication to providing exceptional services to its employees and represents a significant step in deepening our long-standing partnership with Saudia.” This partnership promises to not only enhance the travel experience for AlUla Club Company employees but also contribute to the continued growth and promotion of Al-Ula as a vibrant tourist destination.
