Maharashtra BJP President’s Son Confesses to Being in Audi Involved in Nagpur Crash

The Nagpur Audi crash case took a significant turn on Tuesday as Sanket Bawankule, son of Maharashtra BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, confessed to being inside the Audi car when it hit multiple vehicles. The incident, which occurred on September 9th, has shaken the city and raised concerns about reckless driving.

Nagpur Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rahul Madane revealed that a case has been registered against two individuals, Arjun Hawre and Ronit Chittamwar, in connection with the rash driving incident. While Sanket Bawankule was summoned for questioning, he admitted to being present in the car at the time of the crash.

The police arrested the driver, Arjun Hawre, on Monday night. However, he was subsequently released on bail as the offense was bailable.

DCP Zone 2, Rahul Madane, provided further details at a press conference. He explained that the incident occurred at 12:30 am on September 9th, involving a white Audi registered in Sanket Bawankule’s name. The police questioned all three occupants of the car and conducted medical examinations of those seated in the front seats.

“Their medical samples have been sent for FSL, and the report is awaited,” added Madane.

Reports indicate that Sanket Bawankule and the other occupants were returning from a beer bar in the Dharampeth area.

Earlier in the day, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut had alleged that Sanket Bawankule was allegedly drunk and had seriously injured two people in the accident. Raut also claimed that the car’s number plate was removed after the incident.

However, DCP Madane clarified that the car’s number plate was intact during the investigation.

This case highlights the need for strict measures against reckless driving and the importance of holding individuals accountable for their actions. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are committed to uncovering the truth and ensuring justice is served.
