JetZero, a company focused on revolutionizing air travel with its innovative blended wing body (BWB) aircraft, has announced the appointment of renowned aerospace veteran Rob Dewar to its Board of Directors. Dewar brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the team, having dedicated 38 years to the aviation industry.
Most recently, Dewar served as senior vice president and general manager of the Airbus A220 program, previously known as the Bombardier CSeries. He played a pivotal role in leading the team responsible for defining, developing, certifying, and bringing the aircraft to market. Throughout his career at Bombardier, Dewar held several senior leadership positions, contributing to the development of iconic aircraft like the Bombardier Challenger and Global Express business jets, the Canadair Regional Jet series, as well as the Airbus A321 and A330.
Dewar’s passion for innovation and commitment to sustainability are evident in his enthusiastic response to joining JetZero. “I could not be more excited to join JetZero and help bring the blended wing body (BWB) to market,” he said. “I believe in this airplane and its ability to significantly reduce the industry’s environmental footprint and operating costs. In 2017, he was honored with the prestigious Aviation Week Laureates Award for his outstanding contributions to civil aviation. In 2019, he received the Aviation Achievement Award from Air Transport World, further solidifying his reputation as a leading figure in the industry.
