The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) embarked on a successful three-city roadshow, reaching out to Indian travel agents in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. This initiative, which took place in September 2024, brought together over 100 travel operators and agencies, providing them with a firsthand glimpse into Mauritius’ captivating tourism offerings.

The roadshow aimed to foster stronger industry ties between Mauritius and India, highlighting the island nation’s unique attractions and diverse experiences. A delegation of over 22 partners from Mauritius joined the MTPA in promoting the destination, emphasizing its luxurious resorts, pristine beaches, vibrant culture, and adventurous activities.

The first leg of the roadshow in Bengaluru featured a special press conference with Arvind Bundhun, Director of the MTPA. Mr. Bundhun engaged directly with local journalists and media outlets, sharing insights into Mauritius’ tourism strategy and its appeal to Indian travelers. The subsequent roadshows in Hyderabad and Kolkata further cemented Mauritius’ position as a premier destination, attracting significant interest from travel agents and operators.

Through these engaging roadshows, the MTPA effectively showcased Mauritius’ diverse appeal, creating new avenues for Indian tourists to explore the island paradise. The initiative underscores the commitment of the MTPA to strengthen partnerships and drive tourism growth for both countries.
