On September 16th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made history by flagging off India’s first ‘Namo Bharat Rapid Rail’ service, a high-speed train connecting Bhuj and Ahmedabad. This momentous occasion wasn’t limited to just this new route, as Modi also inaugurated several other Vande Bharat trains, including those running on routes like Kolhapur-Pune, Pune-Hubballi, Nagpur-Secunderabad, Agra Cantt to Banaras, and Durg to Visakhapatnam.
The Ahmedabad-Bhuj ‘Namo Bharat Rapid Rail’ service is set to revolutionize travel between the two cities. This modern train will halt at nine strategically located stations, namely Sabarmati, Chandiodiya, Viramgam, Dhrangadhra, Halvad, Samakhiali, Bhachau, Gandhidham, and Anjar, ensuring accessibility for commuters along the route. The train is designed to cover the 360-kilometer distance in a swift 5 hours and 45 minutes, reaching a top speed of 110 kilometers per hour.
The Bhuj-Ahmedabad Vande Metro, operating as Train No. 94802, will depart from Bhuj at 5:05 am every day except Sunday, arriving in Ahmedabad at 10:50 am. This daily service provides a reliable and efficient mode of transport for those needing to travel between the two cities.
The ‘Namo Bharat Rapid Rail’ boasts a modern design with 12 coaches, comfortably accommodating 1,150 passengers. The interior is adorned with ergonomically designed seats, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable journey. Furthermore, the train is fully air-conditioned and features modular interiors, contributing to a superior travel experience.
