A representative from the Azerbaijan Tourism Board engaged in B2B meetings with leading Russian business tourism professionals and agencies.
The primary goal of Azerbaijan’s participation in ‘MICE4U’ was to solidify its position as a top-tier destination for global business events. This involved establishing new partnerships, exploring collaborative research opportunities, and ultimately, attracting more international conferences and meetings.
The event also served as a crucial platform to boost tourist exchanges between Russia and Azerbaijan, further deepening their business tourism ties. Notably, Azerbaijan saw a significant surge in Russian visitors, with 501,417 arriving between January and August 2024, representing an 18% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
